Universal remote controls

Did you know that most remote controls are repairable if they are not to badly destroyed so don't just throw them away and replace with a generic universal remote. the problems here far outweigh the value of the original remote.
Whats more you are often left with a remote that can do little more that change channels, adjust the volume, mute and power. Just about all devices nowadays have a menu structure that can only be accessed using the remote including tuning, customer settings, AV access, etc.
Any electronic service Tech that is worth their salt will be able to repair most problems on your remote for less that the cost of the replacement universal remote

I want to throw away a Canon MP530 printer. I've heard memory stores all copies/faxes and I want to destroy memory before throwing away. How to I do this?

If you're throwing it away, take a hammer to it. Once it's been fairly well destroyed, you should be able to find the memory card, and trash it. If not, trash all the internal boards. This has the added benefit of letting you work off a little everyday annoyance.

That's the simplest way, and the way the DOE/DOD does it, as well as many corporations....except they use an industrial shredder.

I have a shop vac. model 500x 1h.p. Center section separation impeller cost of new? Or throw away?
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. There are only 2 ways that I can think of in answer to your question. Either you can replace the fan impeller or you have to replace the entire motor. You would have to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or contact the Shop Vac factory @ the website or to call the factory @ the phone 3 listed below; or check your owner’s manual.

So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Innovage Remote Control Monster Tumbler

The antenna was embedded in the styrofoam holding the truck in the box. I don't know why they packaged it this way. Unless you are looking over the foam boxes pretty good you will miss it for sure and it's forever gone when you throw away the styrofoam packing. A real stupid way to package. I didn't see it and went to throw away all the packing and happened upon it. Hope this helps. I'm not the only one who has experienced this or even thrown theirs away.
