2000 chev silverado will not shift out of second gear=any ideas?

Does it Spin or Whine or SLIP as you it is shifting? These trucks are known for having SHELL Issues.. I just tore mine down on Saturday and this is what I had. a Broken Sun Shell and now I am going to have to get "THE BEAST" Sun Shell. It could be your Solenoid's or a Bad Band.. but more than likely, the common problem is Sun Shell

The other Common issue is Burning up the Clutches... another one that happened to me (Still the same 4L60E) went from 1st to 3rd and lost OD (Over Drive)...

hi I have error message file:///C:/Program%20Files/Dell%20Support%20Center/sscommon/common/snapins/shell/ss_shell.htm?config=..%255c..%255c..%255c..%255cgs_agent% how to solve the problem

You can remove the Dell support from your add/remove programs. This support is installed on all Dell systems in factory. Once your warranty runs out, it is pretty worthless because you still have to pay for support.

Go to start, control panel and click on add/remove programs.

Look for Dell Support or help and uninstall it. Reboot computer and the error message will go away!
