Have a Onkyo TX-RZ710. Fail to do firmware update. Try to do using USB, now Recovery:NET display. Dont know what to do?

Hello, I am sorry for your issue. The update may have stopped due to a power loss or another reason. The receiver needs to be sent to a service center. I have included a link below to search for a center. Thank you, Onkyo USA.

V.Reader Firmware Update Failed

Look on the manufactures site to see if you can find out how to reset the thing back to factory settings. Usually it is done by booting up and holding down 2 or 3 of the control buttons, which ones are the sequence you will have to find on the wbe site.

Good luck

firmware update fail on night owl fs84500

Same here. Updated firmware system rebooted and locked on the Night Owl screen. Mine is the FS-8500.( DVR model FS-500 ). Anybody find a fix to the issue? I believe the firmware is in the motherboard. Anyway to hook to PC and "push / force" the firmware into the DVR. Or some tyoe of master reset. Or is this thing bricked for good.

If it cant be fixed, do you know where I can get a new motherboard with firmware installed. Tried talking to tech support but am fighting with them over the issue. Pretty freaking useless over there.

You will need to send it to your place of purchase or send it to a authorised Magellan Dealer. This is due to that you corrupted the file during the firmware update process

Try a master reset: After you know the batteries are fully charged!
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} To perform a Master Reset on the nuvi 200,series device: Note: A master reset will erase all waypoints or favorites and will restore your unit to the default factory settings.
  1. Start with the unit OFF and unplugged from power
  2. Touch and hold the lower right corner of the screen with an index finger or the eraser end of a pencil
  3. Continue touching and holding the lower right hand corner of the screen then power the unit ON
  4. Release the power button when the device powers ON
    • You will see a new message: Do you really want to erase all user data?
  5. Remove your finger from the touchscreen when this message displays
  6. Touch Yes
The device will automatically reset. Follow the on screen prompts then place your device in an area with a clear view of the sky until it acquires satellites.
