Tip & How-To about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
After reading many online complaints about the
XBOX 360 scratching a ring around the play side of game discs I went on a hunt for a solution. I wasn't able to find viable solution online but someone told me to try toothpaste to remove the scratches.
Personally I thought toothpaste might be too abrasive so I was able to polish my scratches out using "Wenol Polish". It comes in a blue tube like toothpaste but it's primary use is for polishing car parts and metals. Make sure to use the super soft version with a very soft cloth like micro fiber or a lint free optics cloth.
Take the cloth and wrap it around your index finger. Place a small amount of the Wenol on the cloth and make small circular motions over the scratches. Do about 1/3 of the disc at a time. Use light or medium pressure at most.
It should take about 15 or 20 minutes until you see the scratches fade away. Try your disc again and see if it reads properly in your machine. If not, return to polishing until it works.
