Tip & How-To about Cell Phones

To repair a wet, non-fuctional cell phone, works on I-Pod too!

To repair a wet non-functional cell phone:
get a disposable bowl and, a bottle of 90% isoprophyl (rubbing) alcohol; this can be purchased at a drug store.
remove the sim card and, the battery from the phone; place them to the side. place the phone in the bowl to insure that the phone lay flat in the bowl and, that the bowl is high enough for the alcohol to completely cover the phone without overflowing.
take the phone out of the bowl and, pour the alcohol into the bowl; lay the phone face up in the alcohol; make sure that the phone is completely covered with the alcohol.
leave the phone in the alcohol for one hour then: take the phone out, dispose of the alcohol safely and, let the phone dry for 24 hours on a paper towel. then: put the sim card and, the battery back into the phone. turn the phone on.
the phone should be working again; this almost always works but, in the event that the phone does not work it will need to be replaced.
