I have a Pioneer DV-300 DVD player and when I put the disc in it continuously loads and does not play. Please help.

This trouble is cause by a weak lens or faulty lens. Weak lens due to dust or dirt that gets into the optical lens try to use a cotton buds to wipe it but be very gentle and be sure not to touch the optical lens. Faulty lens, is that the lens must be adjust, the potentiometer is commonly located below the optical lens and must be adjust clockwise, wrong adjustment can cause the lens to be damage if you are not familiar with this I suggest that you should contact a technician to do it for you and save you from stress, good day and best regards.

It could be cause by a dirty optical lens. You can try cleaning it by using commercially available CD OPTICAL LENS CLEANER. Just follow the instructions given by the manufacturer. If nothing happen and if still under warranty just bring it back to the store or to the authorized service center. If not try to follow this simple step before you call a local repairman. Sometimes a dirty optical lens cannot clean by a commercially available optical lens cleaner. (1) Unplug the unit from the wall socket. (2) Unscrew the unit to remove the protected cover.. (3) The optical lens is located in the middle section of the CD tray assembly. here is the picture. Never touch the optical lens because it may add more add more damage on the unit. (4) use a cotton buds and a drop of cleaning solution or a drop of water if you don't have... Clean the optical lens but do not push so hard, just enough touch... After you finish cleaning the lens just return the protected cover from its original position... then plug the unit again to the wall socket and try if the problem is solve...
