How to make your lawn mower climb big hills

Start by finding two extra tires and wheels that are the same size as the wheels and tires on the mower.Get four long bolts and bolt a wheel and tire to each side through the two hole in the wheel and stop by a local parts store and get a special made valve to air up both tires at the same time.

What is the exact process for removing a flat tire on troy-bilt snowblower, model 8526?

Yes you need to prevent the wheel from turning. This the same process as removing the bolt from MTD mowers. You can also use a small impact wrench to remove the bolt. These are normal RH threaded bolts.

Be aware that after you remove the bolt you may still not be able remove tire assembly if it has rusted on to shaft.

How do I fix a flat on rear tire

There are different procedures depending on the type of bicycle and the various brake and axle bolt configurations. This is one fix where it is best to check a youtube video.

This is a synopsis:
-move chain to smallest sprocket;
-if non-disc brake, release brake tension; otherwise tire may catch on the brake pads;
-turn bike upside down (place old towel under seat and handlebar);
-loosen/remove quick-release bolt; or use two wrenches to remove the axle nuts and bolt if so equipped;
-gently pull the wheel up. You may have to move chain around a bit. Dont forget to look at how the chain mounts on the sprocket for reassembly (take a photo if you must);
-remove tire valve cap. if tire has a presta valve (skinnier than a car tire valve), remove the nut.
-Here is tricky part: use tire levers to remove tire from the wheel. Only use plastic levers and you only need two.
-once one side of the tire is off the wheel, pull out the tube.
-air up new tube just enough to hold the circle form and start by inserting valve stem through hole in wheel and work rest of the tire around the wheel.
-here is trickiest part: use hands only to start rolling the tire over the wheel. Never use any levers for this part or you will pinch the new tube and cut a hole into it. The last ten inches or so will be the hardest part. If you 'message' tire bead into the wheel, you will get the extra millimeter or two to slip the last part of the tire over the wheel.
-once tire is on the wheel, center the valve stem if it is crooked. Then air up the tire and reassemble wheel on the bike.

how to remove and replace rear wheel tire on my mtd self propelled lawn mower model #126-478n134 part #634-0020 tire sized 8 inches.

Part # 634-0020 is listed for the FRONT wheel. Your post asks about the rear wheel. I was unable to determine if the same part number fits the rear.

1) Remove plastic hub cab with a screwdriver around the outer edge.

2) Loosen the shoulder bolt in the center of the wheel (My guess is that you will need a 3/4 inch socket).

3) Leave the bolt and all washers/bushings together and remove the entire wheel assembly as a unit (the bolt serves as the axle).

4) Note the component locations and install the new wheel exactly as the old came off. Do one side at a time to be sure the reassembly is in correct order.

Working from the bolt-head to the mount hole, the assembly should go as follows: Shoulder-Bolt, Wave-Washer, Wheel-Bushing, Wheel, Wheel Bushing, Bell-Cone Washer, Mounting-Hole.

1) Remove plastic hub cab with a screwdriver around the outer edge.

2) Straighten and remove 1/8 inch cotter pin from center of axle and slide ratchet-spur off the axle while making note of the tooth direction.

3) Slide the remainder of the wheel assembly off the axle.

4) Remove the small shoulder bolt from the ratchet-pawl and note the direction. Remove the ratchet-pawl and ratchet-plate from the wheel. On the inside of the wheel is a "pem-nut" which may need to be held with pliers.

5) Reassemble Ratchet-Plate, Pawl, Pem-Nut, Spur and Cotter Pin in the reverse order.

As was mentioned before, doing one at a time will help keep the parts in the proper order.

Hope this helps!
