You can edit the start up by clicking on start then run, then type msconfig..System Configuration utility will pops up..Search the entries responsible for the Weather Channel and Ebay Countdown..Uncheck those two entries and click on apply then restart the computer..

Another way is by deleting the start up entries of the two items.. Click on start, then click on run, then type regedit.. Registry editor will appear after doin so..Expand computer then 5 hives will appear..expand HKEY Local Machine look for Software..Expand Software and look for Microsoft..Expand Microsoft then look for Windows..Expand Windows and look for CurrentVersion..Expand CurrentVersion and look for RUN..Highlight RUN and check the entries on the left pane..Look for the entries of weather channel and ebay countdown..delete the two and restart pc..

I picked up this program called personal antivirus and I can't get rid of it.i looked in my programs and it's not even there.Any ideas?

go to start menu, then go to "run", then type regedit and hit enter.
Now you are in registry.
Find the HKEY LOCAL MACHINE and expand it, then find Software, and expand it. You should see your program here, right click and delete file.

Do the same with HKEY LOCAL USER

Also go to start menu, search , type program name. When found, right click and delete all files.
