HOW DO I SET MY DIGITAL -- (PUSH BUTTON) -- WATCH

Mcdevito75 here, The Quartz Mechanism is made in such a way, that the battery"s electricity changes in a way, while going thru the Quartz and thus Display"s the Numbers and or Letters on the Dial or Display, By PRESSING these Various Buttons, you are Changeing the Battery"s Voltage thru the Quartz and thus Displaying the Numbers and or Letters. ---------- Genarally, you need worry about only TWO (2) of these Buttons to SET your DIGITAL (push button) Watch, They are the MODE and SET Buttons. ------------- The MODE Button is usually on the Right side of the caseing, PRESS this Button, depending on your watch you may have to hold down this MODE Button 2--3 seconds, once you see the Dial Or Display BLINKING you are set to RE--SET your watch, NOW, PRESS the SET Button, usually on the LEFT side of the caseing to change each Function (Hour, Minute Etc.) once each Function is SET, PRESS the MODE Button to move onto the next Function. ------ Once all the Functions are SET, PRESS MODE again to see a STEADY Display or Dial. ---- It May take a little practice so be patient. ------ Some DIGITAL watches may not have a MODE BUTTON, But Rather a DIMPLE on the watch caseing you would PUSH in with a PIN or Tooth Pick, same MODE and SET procedures would apply. --------- Use your watches name plus .com online to obtain a user manual or look for a small watch repair shop in your area to order a NEW owners manual for your watch.

The hands have come off my fossil FS3087 wrist watch. I would like to know how to take off the glass in order to fix it myself. Thank you

mcdevito75 here, In most cases the glass (crystal) come off or out thru the back of the watch which means you"ll have to remove the quartz mechanism, and that means removeing the stem, thse quartz stems are very prone to breaking while being removed form the quatrz mechanism and the cost of a repair may be more expensive then a whole new watch, shop around get a price from a small watch repair shop on repair verses a new Fossil watch.

Hi, I found on a street market a MIYOTA T241 watch in original package, also a plastic shield on the glass. Now the problem: May be the liquid of the battery destroyed any power supply wires or contacts. I replaced the battery - no any function. It's possible to get a step by step repair instruction ? thanks & best regards gerhard

mcdevito75 here, Once the battery leaks it destroys the quartz mechanism. Even if you find a replacement quartz, you"d need special Jewelers tools to remove and replace the quartz, even with that you could destroy the new quartz if you can find one. Best Bet, see a small watch repair shop in your area for a quartz replacement approx. $75.00

My swatch model is swatch irony YSS112G. It stops working and when i took it to swatch shop the assistant told me its due to the mechanical problem since a new battery was restored. i was told that it was beyond repair. Can anything be done to make it work again?

mcdevito75 here, Once any Quatrz mechanism goes, it"s ususlly gone. New replacement Quartz mechanisms are sold but just the mechanism itself could cost $30.00---$70.00 then the labor to have it installed, A Swatch watch is a COLLECTABLE item, it may be worth the expense of a new Quartz Mechanism, spaek with the watch shop about details.
