I picked up this program called personal antivirus and I can't get rid of it.i looked in my programs and it's not even there.Any ideas?

go to start menu, then go to "run", then type regedit and hit enter.
Now you are in registry.
Find the HKEY LOCAL MACHINE and expand it, then find Software, and expand it. You should see your program here, right click and delete file.

Do the same with HKEY LOCAL USER

Also go to start menu, search , type program name. When found, right click and delete all files.

optical drive not playing

This may not apply but it's worth a shot....

Click Start > Run
Type Regedit in the run box.
Open "HKEY LOCAL MACHINE > SYSTEM > CURRENT CONTROL SET > CONTROL > CLASS >
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Look for keys called "Upper Filters" and "Lower Filters" and delete any values inside those keys, then restart the machine.

Note: If using Vista, be sure to right-click Regedit in the program list and choose "Run as Administrator", otherwise it won't let you change the values of the key.

Hope this helps,
