Tip & How-To about Office Equipment & Supplies

Why use Epson Paper

You can try other papers with the printer. Unfortunately, when you are using non-Epson papers, it is difficult to guarantee good output. Epson papers are designed specifically for our printers, which use a unique printing technology known as Micro Piezo. The Micro Piezo printing technology, when used with our specially formulated Epson papers, produces the excellent quality output that Epson printers are known for. Unfortunately, other types of papers used in our printers often do not match the output quality of the Epson papers.

EPSON LQ 1070+ PRINTER DON´T WORK ON WINDOWS 7

Unfortunately, no Win7 drivers exist for this printer.
You are better off running a Win98 or XP virtual machine on Win7 (like in VMWare), and installing your printer that way. There's no guarantee that would work, but it's at least one more thing to try.
Good Luck!

My color photos print darker then they appear on my monitor. I use Huey pro to callibrate, I use photoshop and print to an Epson 3880, using the Epson supplied profiles. I turn off printer management and let photoshop manage the colors, but have tried various other ways as well. still the same result . My photos are saved in a .tiff.

You need to select the correct Printer Profile for the type of paper you are using. If you are using non-Epson paper, you need to download the ICC Profile from the paper mfg. website.

You also need to check if the paper is comparable to an Epson paper that the printer supports. If the paper your using is not comparable to any Epson paper the printer supports then you might want to try using another kind of paper. Epson prefers Epson Paper. You can also try any non-Epson paper as long as it is comparable to any Epson paper the printer supports. Try to go to their website and look at the printer's specifications. It lists all type of paper the printer supports.

Epson RX595 prints "wet" on non epson paper

the reaction of the photo chemicals that are on the paper cannot be guaranteed by the printer manufacturer as they have no knowledge of its composition.

3rd party photo paper manufacturers have better compatibility results.

Can you print on canvas with epson stylus 2100 printer

it may damage the printer if you do so...
Printer manufacturers create certain technologies with their ink so that it binds specifically with their papers...
meaning to say, that when you print with epson ink, use epson paper to guarantee the quality of your prints... these manufacturers do not test their products with other brands of paper. You can certainly try it but if it fails, theres nothing that the manufacturer can do to make their printer work on papers or media that is not within their supported list of papers.
