My 06-09 Cummins ISX is Stumbling and Surging

Often times I see this symptom and this tip will save you costly down time and a trip to the dealer.

If you are seeing this issue you may also find a code for EGR Delta Pressure are something simular.

This code is caused by the 2 hoses that the sensor uses to read the pressures filling with carbon and Soot that the EGR valve sends into the intake.

On the Left (Drivers Side) of the engine there is a sensor with 2 small hoses on it mounted on top of the Intake Pipe.

these hoses lead to the EGR mixer pipe that says HOT on it.

using a 5/8" wrench and a 1'4" socket for the hose clamps remove the Tubes and clean out the soot from both the tubes and the mixer with a solovent of some sort. also Blow out the fitings where the sensor mounts but do not use solovent here., reassemble and test and Voila.

all that is left is to buy me a beer....

Anyone having 4WD Fault?

People all over the world have similar vehicle problems
every day on ALL vehicles

I have to tell you, that there is no way someone else that
has the same vehicle & solved the same SYMPTOM, your
having, will have the same solution

They may, but ALL Vehicles have to be tested to find problems,
as your dealer did.

If the dealer had two vehicles next to each other, the cost to
diagnose, the time required, etc would be the same

Your question is about shot gunning someone else's issue,
with a similar vehicle & making the same repair, to save you
time & money etc etc Does not work like that at all

EVERY job is a fresh start

You follow a process to hopefully, a successful conclusion

That process is only to find a problem, anything, fix it & continue
on,that is how it works

Dealers & Independents do check bulletins & other info, to help speed the testing along.

But no testing & problem found & confirmed--- NO parts get installed

That is why it can take months to get where your at

Will your $1,200 be the answer --MAYBE-- if the testing confirms
why that part is going in & IF-- IF there is NO other problems or issues

consumer complaints

Her is sample decision. If it's me.
a. If the trip and your time will cost more the machine then forget about it. Just buy new one instead fix it.
b. If the trip and your time cost less than the machine 2-300 hundred dollars then fix it.

Good luck

online UPS producing big humming nosie and trip down

I think you are trying to save money, but I think it is time to let go of the unit and get another one.

If you are in the USA....I can help you with that replacement unit.

The problem with UPS is sometimes replacing them is better then repairing them. In their life time they see transits, impulses, black outs and all sorts of power issues that normally would blow out a computer. So the reliability factor is in the toilet by now.

You can contact me and I can send you a pdf or word doc. of any size UPS you might need at a afordable cost.

anti theft indication

You have classic symptoms of a failing BCM (body control module), it is the brain off all of these systems, the dealer has the correct test equip. to address this issue in a timely manner, outside shops are lost on these kinks of modern automotive electronic control systems, they guess and cost you allot of money.
