Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

Lately looking though out the market I was unable to find a clean used Laptop. There were many laptops with many problem but one was very common over heating a self shuting down of computer. So I come to conclusion that many of we people use are laptops on bed or carpet like things ... which makes difficult for computer to intake air therefore it over heats.....

So the tip is keep your laptop on desk or on any hard and unfoldable thing rather than using on carpet or on bed another thing is to use a cooling pad this is avalible at almost every computer shop...

Keep your laptop clean and blow a wind through by blower after every month.

Why is my laptop unable to run off battery power, even though battery shows fully charged and AC is unplugged

It's time for you to replace your battery.

how old is your laptop? and how do u use it - do u leave it plugged into the wall socket all the time? It's common for batteries to die out after a couple of years. however, if the computer overheats or if you leave it plugged in all the time, it's life cycle will decrease. Charge - discharge cycles. That's how you are suposed to do it.

HP Pavilion Laptop shutsdown randomly, need help.

This looks like a bad memory stick. That looks like a memory address where the error occurs. Keep track of the messages you get and see if they are similar. If it's a memory address you may run the computer for quite some time or a short time till you use enough system resourses to fill up the ram to that bad address then it will die. The confusing part is it shows the program or device that was loaded into ram that failed and sometimes you think it's that program or device rather than the ram that caused it. In this example it shows possibly 4 addresses. 40000080 8A57DAD0 89FF6F30 8A234F44
Three of those are pretty close together. If you see more that start with 8A or 8B I'm maybe right.

Sometimes laptops can get very hot in operation there are after market laptop Coolers that the laptop fits into/onto and has extra Fans to Cool the unit. Perhaps that would help... As long as the unit isn't getting so hot that it is faulting then it is most probably OK.. But my laptop gives me a "Warm Knee" when I use it for long periods.. Using the laptop on a hard surface helps too the air has to be able to flow to be cooled affectively.

Slot-loading DVDRW - Unable to write

Before taking it down, I would suggest you try a cd/dvd lens cleaning cd. You could get one at any big electronics store. Clean the lens and see. If that doesnt work, look at getting the drive replaced. I've seen this before, it has been an indicator that the drive is starting to fail. Good luck.
