Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

How to save on browser addresses.

Usually tips take a lot of language but this one is simple.

When you go to type in an address into a Windows based pc browser such as Internet Express - Chrome or FF just do this if it is dot com.
CLEAR the address bar ---- then just type the word or words of the address like FIXYA then hold CTRL and push ENTER. This will give you the full address. Try it - clear the above address bar - and type in FIXYA hold CTRL and hit ENTER. BYE.

I assume you use a PC and the Internet Explorer browser.
Go to the Internet Explorer Tools menu, select Internet Options, click on General tab, look for "Home Page". Here there is an address box where you can type in the home base that you want. For example if you want Yahoo, you put in http://www.yahoo.com/
save and close and it's done. so simple. :)

Hi

its very simple, You need to go to your Routers web based control interface, by typing the IP address (usually 192.168.0.1) on your browser. Once control panel appears click on the "Wireless" button located at the left side. After requested page appear you will see the "Security" option which you can selec. None, WEP, WPA or WPA-PSK.
