The door will not open on my dv-5700a dvd rom drive.

The reason for the trey not ejecting may be because there is a disc stuck in it from previous use. Now you need to force pen the trey. The way for doing this follows:

There should be a small hole in near the eject button.
Take a pin or small paper clip and push it into the hole.
When you feel a slight resistance, gently pull out the trey.

This will not damage the device, the small hole is made for this sole purpose. Really hope this can help.

CDs are jammed. will not eject or play. i have a bose front loader 6 cd changer. this unit came in a infinity 2003. Someone told it happens when the batery is diconnected while cd's are in. How can I reset the unit so that the cd's come out?

I can help you with this problem. All you need to do is to force eject the trey which is hilding the cd's. This will cause no damage, the hole is made for this purpose.

First you need to locate a small hole near the eject button.
Now you need to push a pin into the hole untill you feel resistance.
While holding the pin securely gently pull out the trey.
You should be able to recover your cd now and your player should work perfectly again. Please rate this.

If an error occurs ond the trey does not eject, the problem is most probably that the cd is crammed in the wrong way. So now you need to force eject the trey. This will not do any damage to your device, so even if this is not the problem, you should be able to get out the cd that is stuck.

There is a little hole near the eject button, you need to push a pin into the hole untill you feel there is a resstance. Then gently pull out the trey while holding the pin in the hole.

This should work perfectly. Please rate this.
