Most of you out there are satisfied with a domain name registration that costs about £5 and then creating a basic website for fun and uploading the website to a website hosting company that will deal with the maintenance and keep the server running for another £5-10 per year.

What if you have your own Windows Server operating system running ISS or PHP and want to tinker with CMS.

Well a great place to start is by using FREE open source code an one of the best ways is to use concrete5 available either @ sourceforge HERE

OR

at their dedicated website http://www.concrete5.org/developers/downloads

All you need to do is download the latest software and install it on a Windows Server 2000; 2003 or 2008 with IIS and a little help from the tutorial HERE and the themes and tips website http://c5mix.com

If you just want to attempt to try and host your own website then why not sign up for free trial @ http://www.concrete5.org/about/trial and get them to host it for you.

Happy Hosting
