how to format nokia 6600,bcoz its to slow..even memory card already remove....

Primary Method:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Turn your device off.
  • Remove SIM card and MMC card (actually, you do not need to remove these, but after format remember to format memory card and reboot phone).
  • Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad Together.
  • Turn your device on while you are pressing the three buttons.
  • You should now see "Formatting .." on the Screen! Leave the buttons now.
Alternate Method:---------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • You can remove the mmc but keep the sim card and restart your phone.
  • Then press the keys *#7378#
  • The phone would ask a confirmation.
  • Select yes.
  • Then it will ask for a code.
  • The code is 12345 (the default).
  •  Your phone will restart with all the phone memory formatted.
Tips:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • You can also use some programs to format the device for you
  • The format will not include the MMC Card, only the device (C Drive)...
  • The above methods aren't always easy. You can do the format using this simple key combination *#7370# and the phone will prompt you to enter the phone lock code which is 12345 by default.
  • Also remember that you can reset your phone but not loose any of your personal files (I.E restore the settings that came when you bought the phone while keeping contacts etc)
Warnings:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Don't apply these steps if you are not sure what you are doing.
  • Make sure you have enough battery power before beginning this procedure.
  • Formatting will erase all your contacts/messages, so make a backup of your phone before formatting.
  • If have MMC-card make a backup on MMC-store file !
Thank you Sir, I hope I was helpful to you. Please rate me. Ok, Have a nice day.

Phone memory protected

Under Menu>Contacts>Settings.... Under memory in use, change it to phone and SIM. It will probably ask for a security code which should be in your book, if you haven't changed it, its something like 0000 or 12345 or similar. then you should be able to copy all to the simcard.

Good Luck esm_taher@yahoo.com
