how do you install the hk-401sx amplifier?

A 4 Gauge or even better a 2 Gauge power cable Starting from the Battery going thru a fuse block which should not be more than 12 inches away from the battery then to the battery connection on your amplifier the states 12V. A similar gauge cable connected from the GND negative (minus) of the amplifier to a good clean and cleared of paint location on the chassis somewhere in the boot (secure well) A cable connected form the blue and white cable at the back of your head unit to the remote input of your amplifier which is next to the speaker outputs on your amplifier and clearly indicates REMOTE. A stereo RCA interconnect from the output of your head unit to the line in of your amplifier. Best if there is a dedicated sub woofer output. You then connect your sub woofer. dreamsystems

'04 Nissan Sentra S factory installed subwoofer wiring diagram

A FACTORY INSTALLED AMP/SUB WILL BE WIRED INTO THE VEHICLES FACTORY WIRING JUST AS ANY OTHER COMPONENT. YOU WOULD THINK THAT YOU WOULD FIND THICK POWER AND GROUND CABLES ALONG WITH RCA CONNECTIONS AS YOU FIND WITH MOST INSTALLS.NOT THE CASE HERE.YOU MUST FIND THE HARNESS THAT HAS THE POWER AND GROUND CONNECTIONS ALONG WITH THE INPUT WIRES FOR SOUND. YOU MUST OBTAIN A VEHICLE SPECIFIC WIRING DIAGRAM THAT HAS THE WIRING FOR THE SOUND SYSTEM PACKAGE THAT CAME WITH YOUR VEHICLE. YOU MUST THEN WIRE IN THE BLUE REMOTE TURN ON LEAD FROM YOUR UNIT TO TURN THE AMP AND SUB ON WITH YOUR RADIO AND NOT YOUR CAR BATTERY. YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO FEED SOUND TO THE AMP USING ONE OF THE REAR OUTPUTS FROM YOUR RADIO.

hi i have fusion sub woofer can u help me to install just let me know how to install many wires so dotn know who to install in my car

  1. Batt + or B+ or Positive.
This is the connection directly to your automobiles battery. It should be a fused connection rated to about 15% higher than the fuse installed in your amplifier.
  2. Negative or '-' or Ground.
This wire should be just as thick as the 'Batt + or B+ or Positive' wire. This wire can attach to any solid clean metal connation in the vehicle. Usually a trunk latch.
  3. Remote or amp startup wire.
This wire is a thin 12V wire that will come from the deck. It's a signal wire that tells the amplifier to turn on.
  4. Inputs
Low level inputs are in the form of RCA connectors and will require that your deck or head unit has low level or RCA outputs. High-level inputs are used for stereos that don't have low level or RCA outputs. They work by taking an audio signal directly from the vehicles speakers and then amplifying it as necessary.
  5. Speaker connection.
Match the + and - these with the appropriate connectors on the speaker box. Red means + and Black means -.
    I hope this helps.

How do I remove and replace the rear speaker in my 2002 Lexus ES 300?

Hello, I have a 2000 ES300 and while the body style is different believe the newer model still has the rear deck mounted sub-woofer that you are referring to. The process of removing this speaker would start off the same as if you were going to replace the third brake light also located in this housing. Using a flathead screwdriver work your way around prying/popping up all four corners of the speaker grill covering the speaker that have the retainer clips. Once you disengage the clips work/maneuver the grill up and towards you gently and it should slide out. The bulb for the third brae light will be attached to this speaker grill, disconnect the snap wire from the bulb and you should have a clear visual of the speaker and the four bolthead screws securing it. Remove these screws and your almost home free. The next part might be slightly more difficult. If the speaker s simply connected by a clipped on wiring harness, just detach. On my 2000 ES300 i have the pioneer system(Not Nakimichi) and the 2 wires (one black, and one red) are soldered directly to the speaker. You can take a soldering iron(maybe a battery or gas powered one unless you have an inverter) and remelt the solder to remove the wires or you can elect to simply cut the wires. If you choose to cut them make sure you cut them as close as possible to the soldered joints so you have plenty of wire left to install the replacement speaker. Then install replacement either soldering or using crimp clamps and reassemble. ( Note if you simply want to add a aftermarket amplified sub-woofer you don't need to remove the sub-woofer out of the housing. You can tap into the wire leads and run it directly to the amplifier. Just cut one of the wires leading to the stock sub-woofer so it doesn't also come on and potentially blow while the radio is on. This will also prevent any bass humming when the radio is shut off but the aftermarket amplifier is still on because once one of the wires to the stock sub-woofer is disconnected or cut it breaks the circuit. Hope this helps.

amp light is on but no power to my subs!

Hi There.

When you say the 40 Amp fuse blew. Was it your mains battery fuse or was it the fuse on the amplifier? If it was the fuse on the amplifier then you may have hurt the amplifier. The Kenwood KAC-8101D is a 1000 Watt monoblock amplifier. Therefore if you say that 1 of your woofers is not playing, then it is almost certainly blown if you are sure it is connected correctly. Try disconnecting it and only running the woofer that tries to play. If this woofer is still working correctly, you will notice a drastic drop if the sound of your bass. The reason for this is because you have changed the impedance load on your amplifier due to the fact that the other woofer is not working. Have your working woofer checked and replace the faulty woofer then you should be banging again.

Hope this helps!!
