my samsung L730 digital camera will not turn on, i have charged it overnight and am using a lithium ion rechargablt battery that came with the camera

Some lithium-ion really loose their life easily and sometimes quickly. They are affected by temperatures too.I noticed that when I am charging the batteries tend to heat up and I found out they loose their power quickly when you let them charge and leave them warm.Secret to of prolonging their life is after a full charge zip lock it and freeze them.Of course dry them upon use.Do try a new set of batteries it will resurrect your camera back to life.

Kodak EasyShare C433 won't turn on

alkaline batteries are fine .. they should not cause any problems if they are actually good .. its not unusual to see a dead cell in a package of new, usually off brand batteries ... not as likely with quality brands but still possible ... make certain that the batteries are inserted correctly .(proper polarity) .. examine the metal contacts that touch the ends of the batteries for damage or green corrosion .. you can clean them with alcohol and a Q-tip .. also clean the battery ends.. make sure the batteries + tip actually can make contact .. there is often a plastic barrier that prevents any contact if the battery is in backwards .. the + tip should fit inside that barrier and touch the metal contact .. once in a while the tip on a battery will be too short to make contact (try an different brand battery) .. .. if you have a charger or external power supply .. you can test the camera to see if it works even without the batteries .. if the cameras CPU got spooked (usually by static) .. then you might have to reset it .. there may be a key sequence that you hold down as you power the camera that will do a reset ... that might be mentioned in your instruction booklet .. sometimes there is a tiny hole with a reset switch inside .. you poke with a pin ... sometimes you can simply leave the batteries out for a few hours or a day .. so that any internal keep alive circuits get discharged .. then when you reinstall new batteries the camera will reset .. good luck .. hope it comes to life for you ..
