How to find a newly installed harddrive in Windows 7

Here are a few simple ways to find and work with,a newly installed harddrive in Windows7.
I hope this helps.
First click start,a window will pop up.You want to right click on computer.see picture below.

After right clicking on computer a new window will pop up.see below

Left click on manage and once again a new window will pop up,see below

You are now in computer management, left click on Disk management and the screen will widen in the middle. see below

As you can see I have two harddrives, your new drive will be listed but not ready to use.You will need to left click on the unformated drive,it will move to the upper portion of that same screen.see below

When the drive is in the upper portion of the screen right click it and as seen above, you will have the option of formatting the drive. You need to format the drive only if it is new.Once the drive has been formated you will be given the option of selecting a drive letter, you can let the system set the drive letter, just read befor you click its fairly easy.If the drive has not showin up in the upper portion just right click and format from the lower portion as stated above.Thats it your done if you go back to the upper portion of the same screen and right click on the new drive and go to properties, then left click your new drive should look like the next picture. All normal harddrive operations can be done from this window.see below.
If I've missed something I'm truly sorry,I just hope I have helped in some small way good luck.

help im changing my tx2150ee from windows vista to windows 7... can anyone help me how to do it? im new at this

You have 2 ways to upgrade from vista to windows7: 1- instaling windows7 from vista (this need to insert setup dvd of windows7 while windows vista it's running and choose to upgrade to windows, but this you can do only if vista and win7 are both 32 bit or 64 bit, you can't upgrade from 32bit to 64 bit), but i don't recomand this way because all programs installed on vista will remain on hard drive as a folder and you lose some space on hard drive. 2- clean install of your copy of windows 7. For this before you start install widows save all your data from partition C to another partition. After that insert your windows7 setup dvd and restart your computer. When your laptop is starting you will see on screen "press any key to boot from cd", just hit any key to do this. if you can't see this message go to bios and change boot option to boot from cd/dvd. For this restart your laptop and hit F2 or DEL key while restarting depending of what chipset your laptop have (try both) and go to boot and there you have instruction of what key to use to change option at the botom of the screen. Now i give you step by step instructions to install windows7: -after boot you will see a window "Install windows", here you can choose language, time, and keyboard type then click next -in next window click on install now -in next window you have licence agreement, click i accept and then next -from next window choose custom install -then choose from the right side "drive option (advanced)" -choose disk0 partition2 (usually is second option, just watch partition dimension, if you have more of one partition) -then choose format -click ok in next window -then click next -now your install is started -after restart write user name and computer name and clik next -type a password if you need one or leave space empty if not and click next -write your windows7 serial and click next -choose first option for windows updates -choose your time -if your windows installed any network driver in next window choose were you use your laptop -thit's it now you have o fresh copy of windows7 Good luck!
