Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

How to transfer PDF to iPad?

Generally speaking, there are three most common approaches you can take for reference.

1. Good reader, It is very easy to use and you just need to pay for it in apple store. You can view PDF ebooks on your iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and etc using that. Actually I love to use this one for my iPad.

2. Calibre. A shareware for Mac users. You can use Calibre to transfer your PDF ebooks to iPad and read them by iBook. What a free application. But it can only run on Mac OS and you use Win 7, so I am not sure this way would be appropriate for you.

3. Convert PDF to EPub using PDF to EPub Converter. Maybe it is not free, but there is an advantage that you can use it on your Win7. And as most portable device supports Epub ebooks, so you can share your .pdf books with your friends how has SonyReader or Kindle. Actually I have encountered that problem.

Google is really a good buddy and I also have searched some acticle about transfer PDF to iPad, which gives different ways of reading PDF on iPad. You can check it out and would get the appropriate approach.

difference board feet and lineare ft dimmensionaly

Broadly speaking, a linear foot is one dimensional, with the buyer getting a type of wood that is so many feet long. I want 6' of 2x4.

Broadly speaking, a board feet is a three dimensional measure. "A board foot is any dimensional equivalent of 1" x 12" x 12", such as 1" x 6" x 24", or 2" x 6" x 12"."

The link has a good discussion of this. The problem is wood is trimmed and referred to as the gross dimensions. For example, 6' of 2" x 4" is really 6' of 1 1/2 x 3 1/2. This complicates matters because if it close to 1" thick, it is considered 1"

Good luck,

Paul

references on turn in paper

Writing references is a pretty easy thing to do, however your teacher or lecturer or whomever is making you do the report should have taught you how to do references correctly (or at least in the manner they want them.)

You should speak to the lecturer/teacher/whoever about how they want it done.

There is a good guide at:

http://www.factmonster.com/homework/t8biblio.html

that shows you how to write a good set of references. It is very important on references to write the name of the author (if there are more than one author on a book, write three names and "et al" at the end.

It is also important to write what date the book was published, or the book's ISBN number. This is crucial, especially in scientific reports, as publications can be revised year-by-year.

When citing online articles, it is also equally important to cite the date that the resource was accessed, as online resources can change on a whim.

It is also very important not to cite material that use references themselves for building their data, for example citing Wikipedia is a poor choice, as Wikipedia itself cites its references. It is always important to reference to original material, like Wikipedia does.

Speaking of wikipedia, look at the reference material on any site, and look how it cites references.

e.g: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregorian_calendar#References

It is also possible that you're expected to note what your references refer to in your work.

In this case, just like wikipedia's notes, you note the material you've references to with, for example, a [1], then in your bibliography write [1] followed by where you referenced that section from.

But this really depends on what is exactly expected of you by your teacher.

I hope this helps.

how do i replace left tail lamp had car accidnet. is this an easy thing I can do?

A year, make, and model would help but generally speaking they are pretty easy to do.

Pull back the trunk liner. You should see three or four nuts that hold the lens to the body of the car. Remove those nuts and the lens should pop out.
