For HP officejet printers with "ink system Failure" error : Do this

Unplug the USB cable from the back of the printer if it is connected. Now take out the power cord.

Now Reset the printer:-

To reset it.
Connect the printer power cord to the Wall Outlet or Wall Jack.
Make sure it is not connected to the Serge Protector or power strip.

Partial reset :-

Now on the printer itself. --> Press and hold the
# and 3 button at the same time. Now take out the Power cable from the back of the printer and wait for 20 sec. Now put the power cable back in the printer. Now release the two buttons. ( Note :- remember you need to hold down the # and 3 button the hold time )

(On the printer screen it should say Part nvm reset.)

Now try to turn on the printer and check if it shows the Ink system failure - 0xc19a0027 option. If it works Perfect. If not then do this :-

Semi-Full Reset:-

Open the front door and take out all the cartridges from the printer. Now close the door.

Now on the printer itself. --> Press and hold the
# and 6 button at the same time. Now take out the Power cable from the back of the printer and wait for 20 sec. Now put the power cable back in the printer. Now release the two buttons. ( Note :- remember you need to hold down the # and 6 button the hold time )

( On the printer screen it should say Semi-Full rest )

The printer might shut down automatically or may be it won't. At this point Put the cartridges back into the printer and then turn on the printer if it was shut down.
or If the printer is on turn it off and then switch it back on.

The problem should be resolved up till now.

If still exist DO the last step which will reset the whole chip of your printer.

********************Do not do this step unless required************************
( Note :- make sure before you do this step the cartridges should be out of the printer. As it can corrupt your cartridges as well )
************************ Full reset of your printer ********************************

# and 9 button at the same time. Now take out the Power cable from the back of the printer and wait for 20 sec. Now put the power cable back in the printer. Now release the two buttons. ( Note :- remember you need to hold down the # and 9 button the hold time )

( On the printer screen it should say Full rest )
The printer might shut down automatically or may be it won't. At this point Put the cartridges back into the printer and then turn on the printer if it was shut down.
or If the printer is on turn it off and then switch it back on.

If still the problem Exist Call HP as the product has gone bad. The printer will be replaced if it is still in warranty. Remember the printer HP replaces is always a refurbished printer.

Power but not printing


Hi Linda,
Did you check if the printer is able to scan or does it makes photocopy? if the printer doesn't respond to any input follow below steps.
  • Power Drain:
  1. Turn the printer OFF using the power button.
  2. Disconnect the power and USB cable from the back side of the printer.
  3. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds and release the button.
  4. Connect the power cable and try printing.
  5. If the above steps didn't work try below.
  • Partial Reset: Unplug the printer power cable while its ON, press and hold # and 3 button and connect the Power cord while holding.Wait untill the ON light flashes, then release the button. If you still see the issue try next level of reset.
  • Semi Full Reset:- Remove the ink cartridges; Unplug the printer power cable while its ON, press and hold # and 6 button and connect the Power cord while holding.Wait untill the ON light flashes, then release the button.

Issue The message 'Ink system failure ' and an error code display on the product's control panel. Solution Step one: Reset the printer
  1. If the product is on, press the On button to turn it off .
  2. Unplug the power cord and universal serial bus (USB) cable from the back of the product.
  3. Wait 30 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord into the product.
  5. Press the On button to turn on the product.
  6. If the message does not display again, you do not need to continue troubleshooting. Reconnect the USB cable, and then resume using the product.
  7. If the error message displays again, continue to the next step.
Step two: Service the printer If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.
You could also try resetting the printer:
Introduction A soft reset, also known as an electrical reset, can be used to restore the printer to a ready condition when a cartridge, paper, or other printing issue occurs. Reset the printer Figure 1: Back of the printerc00392035.jpg 1 - Power cord port 2 - USB cable port
  1. If the printer is not off, press the Power button to turn it off.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  4. Unplug the universal serial bus (USB) cable from the back of the printer, if connected.
  5. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cable back into the wall outlet.
  6. Plug the power cable back into the printer.
  7. Press the Power button to turn the printer on.
  8. Ensure that the memory card has been removed from the memory card slot.
  9. Make sure plain paper is loaded in the In Tray.
  10. Press the Menu button.
  11. Press the Up/Down arrow button to display the Tools menu.
  12. Then press the OK button.
  13. Press the Up/Down arrow button to highlight Print a Test Page.
  14. Press the OK button.
  15. If the test page prints, re-connect the USB cable to the printer.

If you find the lights flashing, we could try resetting the printer.I have explained the reset procedures below

POWER DRAIN:-Turn off the printer, Unplug the power cable from printer and from the wall outlet.Press and hold ON buton for 30-60 seconds.

my hp 3310 wireless printer freezes and displays a blue screen (on the printer) with alpha numeric characters

Try resetting the printer

Hi

The error code 0x....... states IDS (Ink Delivery System) failure.Its an Hardware issue with the printer.

This problem could be resolved by resetting the printer.
