Tip & How-To about Plumbing

Teflon Tape .. What else can I use?

I just found a good alternative to Teflon Tape.. A good old plastic grocery bag, Yep in a pinch this works great, and may be just a permanent as the store bought tape is. Cut you a strip as long as you would use from a tape roll and wrap the pipe or what have you with the plastic bag, your back in business.

Mixing paddles come off during mixing, am using teflon tape on shaft to hold paddles on, what is a better fix?

Sound like you need new shafts or paddles and I know the paddles can cost $30 each. so think about a new model or buy one at a thrift store and try those paddle or use the machine. I got a great one for $10 . :)

hoover max extract 77 water tank leaking

Remove the little black plastic plug on the bottom of tank (has a metal spring around it), that is where it is leaking. Wrap Teflon (pipe tape) around it and the spring. Replace black plug. Not a permanent fix, but can help if you are on a bind. It worked for me.
