I have a gateway desktop monitor with the model number FPD 1960 TFT LCD COLOR MONITOR. The power does not come on after you switch on. When I opened and checked I discovered that power does not go into the low voltage area from the high voltage area. Again I saw two swollen capacitors in the low voltage area. I wonder where the problem is.

So you can see at least two bad caps, then you need to replace them, there should be a set of caps for the 5v power supply for the logic circuits and the set of caps for the16~18 vdc power supply for the backlights inverter circuits.

Make sure to use low ESR type caps.

My LG26CL2D power supply now make a squerling noise after I replaced 3 ea. bad cap. Any advice on this one.

Correct polarity and you use low ESR type not generic electrolytics from RADIO SHACK? Low ESR is a must for switching power supply. Also bad cap can look normal but can have high ESR.

Should also recheck your soldering work just in case.

dell 1800fq LCDcomputer monitor not coming up

More likely to have shorted out SWITCH MODE POWER SUPPLY IC, very common in this power supply. You can replace the power supply or buy a repair kit for this power supply on EBAY.
You should at least finr out if your are getting the 12vdc at the power supply output connector.

E176FPb REPLACED C703 AND C704 STILL FAILS DISPLAY AFTER 3 SECONDS POWER LIGHT REMAINS ON

You need to find out if you do have 12vdc and 5vdc for the inverter circuits and logic board, I usually repalce the caps in a set not just the bulging one since bad cap can look normal but has high ESR, you need to use low ESR type cap in switching power supply, generic Radio Shack will not work or last very long. I use Panasonic FM/FC series for all my repair works because it has low ESR, 105c and high ripple current and high rated life.
