How to REFUND, VOID, ERROR CORRECT on a cash register

Most cash registers are similar in operation when it comes to removing items from a sale (or after one).

ERROR CORRECT, or ERR CORR, or EC will remove the last product you entered during a sale. You simply press it straight after the item button to reverse that item back into stock.

VOID (infinity symbol on Sharp), or VD is used to remove any item from a sale e.g if you have entered four items in a sale, you can remove the first item by pressing VOID, then the item button.

REFUND, or RF, or RFND is your friend. It can be used to reverse any item at any time during, or after a sale. Just press REFUND then the item to reverse it back into stock. Then finish with a payment type e.g CASH if you are refunding cash back to the customer.

how do i do a void on a casio ce-2300 cash register?

There are two ways to reverse an entry. If you have just entered the item and have not yet pressed any other button, then ERR CORR will remove it. Otherwise, use refund (RF), then type price and press the department you used. this will remove that amount from the specified department.

i have a casio te 4000f and it will not let anyone ring in when sub total pressed it is counting down in 1p also saying buffer full??? help

Ok. See if you can get rid of the buffer full error for a start. try pressing clear (C) then press Subtotal. You should see an amount on the display. Now press the ERR CORR/ CANCEL button. This should stop the sale that you are stuck in.
Turn the key to Program mode. If it gives error as you turn the key, then you haven't finshed in REG, turn back to REG and try to end the sale first.
If you see P01 on the display, it has worked and then do this:
1 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL.
Now turn back to REG and try it.
If it still didn't work, let me know what happened, and I'll show you another method

Hi Flexion. You are right since the problem of not working ERR. CORR/CANCEL and X multiplication buttons existed since before (only noticed now) but the amount limitation error happens right after setting-up the trainee clerk. When inputing less than 1.00 amount then press the item, it gives a long beeping sound then goes back to 0.00, so i dont even reach the stage of pressing CASH. Please help. Thanks.

To change the keyboard, Turn key to program 4 SUBTOTAL 082 Now press the position where you want the X multiply button 034 Now press the position where you want ERR CORR button SUBTOTAL
as for the amount limitation, try it on the item that you set as 0 last time (3 SUBTOTAL 0 item SUBTOTAL). I need to know if it affects all items or whether any items you set as 0 above will work at less than $1.00. I don't think it has anything to do with training mode. Probably has a limit set from previous owner

flexion1, Thank you for solving the problem E026 ENTER CONDIMENT/PREPARATION PLU. Please help me with the other; why is it that an amount less than <1.00 is not accepted to make a transaction, it just give a beeping sound and goes back to 0.00 AND the ERR. CORR/CANCEL button X multiply button is not working (how can i activate or make the button work). Appreciate if you can resolve this problem for me please. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon

This makes no sense. they are all unrelated problems. Did all of these problems suddenly happen when you changed clerk settings? Try logging on as another clerk. They are in totally different areas of programming. I'm getting some information together for these problems. As for the amount limitation problem, do you get the error when you press the item, or only when you try to press CASH at the end of the sale?

how to void a sale on casio pcr-t275-l cash regester

This is a very simple model, so there are only two ways to remove items in a sale. If you enter an incorrect item, press ERR CORR to remove the last item. If you want to remove a previous item, or return an item after a sale, turn the key to RF (refund) mode and key in the item the same as you did in REG mode. This will return it so that it does not affect the daily total. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
