Tip & How-To about Nokia 6126 Cellular Phone

Avoid "Camera on Standby" glitch with MicroSD

If the camera function will not save a picture and instead gives you the "Camera on standby" warning, but your phone is otherwise working, and you haven't used up all your memory, the problem might be with the MicroSD card. Many Nokia phones format MicroSD with, I think, FAT16, which limits the number of files that fit in a given folder to 256. You may have just filled up the camera memory folder with 256 files and you need to delete some or create a new folder on the MicroSD and use that as the new camera memory bank. Happened with my Nokia 6126 a few minutes ago and I was PISSED until i realized the quick fix.

Sometimes when I want to take a photo my phone indicates that camera is on standby and camera does not work. When I take a photo the phone shows :"operation failed" and then freezes up for a couple of seconds, then I need to return to main screen and return to camera function to take photos. Please help, what is wrong with my phone?

nothing is wrong with the phone, it is a normal function in every phone. If u leave the camera open for some time, it will go on standby mode, u have to turn it off. so better is that the moment u take a picture and there is a gap in taking the other picture, u turn the camera mode off. when u need it again, then again put it on.
