Ensure that your FixYa Tips post in Firefox without any expert assistance

I post loads of Tips to FixYa I have a passion for helping people and if I earn a bit of pocket money then that's a bonus.

I tend to create lots of Tips on the Fly in Firefox and sometimes this can cause me to be locked out of that specific Tips that I was editing.

I have a solution I am sure that experts@fixya.com will be pleased with me I involves a simple use of CTRL + A and then CTRL + C within the edit iframe prior to saving the Tip you are working on, then if the Tip saves without a Title you can open a new Tab and navigate to the Tips Posting screen this is an example of what you will see notice the Normal Black title is missing

Paste the Tip using CTRL + V, you must then close the previous tab where you saved the Tip that appeared with no Black Title then click Save and then Publish the Tip and it will work.

This is a work around I as far as I know there are only a few Expert Guru's that this is a problem for to be sure that this doesn't happen create most of your Tips in Word then copy and paste the whole tip and try not to re-edit it later, I have let them know about this and they told me the best way to avoid this is to re-edit the Tip from your Profile Page Edit hyperlink for the specific Tip you want to re-edit this does work most of the time for me, they also told me to avoid using the edit button more than once after you save the Tip prior to publishing it. I am however still getting every tip in 10 or 20 that does this.

I have also found that if you re-edit a path link it will sometimes remove the backslash () from the path I tend to use screen dumps for these type of Tips

NEVER use Microsoft Word to copy and paste your tips from it will add spurious HTML at the front and render it uneditable, always use Word Pad for the text and then upload the 150MB Max JPGs or GIFs from your pictures, this exampe below shows what might happen also if you try and publish this you will only see a blank editing window if you try to change it you will need to contact experts@fixya.com
