Cdrom drive can not eject / Cdrom is stuck

How To Eject CD from CD-ROM drive if it is Stuck :

If you have a CD into CD-ROM drive and it is stuck and you are trying to eject tray of CDROM by pressing the eject button or windows eject command but CD won't eject as there is no command to eject a stuck compact disc from the CDROM drive then this article is for you.

Step 1: Switch off the computer.

Step 2. On the front of the CD-ROM drive you may find a small hole called Emergency Eject hole below the tray of CD-ROM drive . Take a long pin around 3 inch, (also known as CD ejector) it must be hard enough, insert this pin inside the hole and push a little. The CD tray will slightly move to out.

Step 3: Now you may manually pull the tray and you are done. You have successfully ejected the stucked CD.

Step 4: Switch on the computer and you may work as usual.

emachine cd tray stuck closed

Hi beverlylu328,

It seems like your cd tray has already a defective mechanism.
If a cd was stuck in your cdrom, use the safety eject pin included in the cdrom package.
You can use this even your PC is turned off.
I strongly suggest to replace your cdrom with new one.

Hope this helps you a lot.

my cd rom is stuck, when i click eject button it won't open.

There should be a small hole in the front, use a paper clip and push into the hole to eject tray mannualy. The cause of the tray not ejecting is that the belt from the motor that ejects the tray is worn, need to change it.cheers.

New (to me) blueberry cd stuck in drive

If this is a slot loading machine there may be a little hole next to the CD-Rom drive. Slide a paper clip into the hole and the CD should pop right out. If this is not a slot loading machine then it will be the same procedure only the hole for the CD-Rom will be on the CD-Rom tray itself

CD driver not listed in device manager

If the light blinks but the CDROM doesn't eject, you can try inserting a paperclip or other small object into the tiny hole on the faceplace of the drive. That will manually eject it and you can use it that way. It sounds like more of an issue of the drive being stuck than not configured properly. Does the drive show up in my computer?
