Tip & How-To about Cell Phones

How to repair cellphone if it fell into water ?

1.Take the cell phone out of the water switched off the cell phone, take out the battery and SIM card from the cell phone.
2.Use the vacuum cleaner for around 25 minutes to dry the cell phone.Do not use microwave or a hair dryer to dry the cell phone. While microwave can literally burn the components & hair dryer can force moisture into the components.Don’t take the vacuum cleaner too close to the cell phone as this can again cause damage to the micro components.
3.Remove the moisture from the Cell phone by open it and keep it on a dry tissue paper or napkin for 6 – 8 hours or use BHEESTIE Bag.Reinsert the battery & SIM.
4. restart the cell phone. If the cell phone still shows up issues or doesn’t start go to service centre.

It is highly probable you cell phone is beyond repair.
When you wet your cell, immediately remove the battery and SIM card, dry the phone as much as possible and place it in a warm place for several hours until it is completely dry. Replace the SIM card and battery, cross your fingers and hope your cell phone works as normal. If not then you need a new cell phone.

Follow these procedure to save or revive your phone, remove Cell Phone from Water: Time is of the essence when it comes to saving a fixing a submerged cell phone, as soon as you see your phone in water, remove it quickly! Every second matters do this step quick.

Drying the Phone Out: Quickly shake your cell phone to get all of the water out and reach for the paper towels. Press down on your cell phone to make sure all of the excess water has come out. same problem. dropped in water. cannot find service.

The first thing you need to do is remove the battery and also the sim card from your phone.Next dry your phone. You can make the use of a towel to remove as much of the water as soon as possible, so you can save it from getting into the phone. Shake it out without dropping it, then use a towel.Next make the use of a vacuum cleaner for up to 20 minutes in each accessible area of the phone.Be careful not to hold the vacuum too close to the phone.Using the vacuum cleaner is the fastest method and can completely dry out your phone and get it working in thirty minutes. Leave the phone in a bowl or bag of rice overnight the rice would absorb any remaining moisture.

Now test your phone if you still face the issue then you will have to take your phone apart and clean the inside with a towel. If the phone is under warranty then do not do this because it will void the warranty. You will have to send this to repair if it is under warranty.

If you need any more help let me know.

Thank you.

my samsung SGHJ700 fell in water.iwhat should i do?

The following method can be tried when everything else failed and the phone went through the washing machine, fell in salt water or was in dirty water for a long time etc.

Remove as many parts as possible (Sim card, covers, battery)

1. Soak the phone as soon as possible in distilled water to dissolve any dirt, salt, soap etc ( an ultasonic cleaner will be helpful )

2. Repeat step 1 if necessary ( depends how dirty the water was )

3. Soak the phone in Iso Propyl Alcohol ( a very short time in an ultasonic cleaner will be helpful to dissolve the distilled water in the alcohol )

4. Let the phone dry thoroughly,

5. Cross your fingers and switch it on.
