INCREASE PHONE MEMORY BY 5 MB(Only for symbian OS 9.1 rel 3.1 with FP1 Phones )Follow the Steps:
1. Hack your Phone...Disable Platform Security by CapsOff.
2. Open xplore or any file manager
. Go to C:/Private/102072c4 folder. You will find a file named"reserved" of size 4.76 MB.
3. Delete it.
This reserved file is for FOTA(Firmware over the Air), and we won't need it as we never get any FOTA updates.
It does eventually comes back at times.....Most probably when you use your device manager. So at those times you can again delete it.
Deleting the file will not effect your Phone......I tested it and using My N82 without any problem.
If you want you can make a backup
in your Memory Card.
For any Loss or Damage to your Phone I shall not be Responsible...But at last this Trick is Safe.
Tested and Confirmed working on
N73, N80, N81, N82, N95
Nokia uses Symbian OS on the phone which is loaded in the memory just like computers, you will never get complete memory for use as it reserves the space for you phone OS.
you buy SD card to extend memory on your phone.
Your phone supports upto 16 GB
Hope this helps..
However, that's truly impossible in legal way. Android OS is never compatible with Nokia phones because Nokia phones are made only for Symbian OS.But i have perfect solution here.
Dual Boot is also possible click here to download setup file in pea format You can upgrade Symbian 60 v 5 of X6 to Symbian X^3, but it will need much more RAM. Nokia X6 has only 128 MB RAM, while Nokia N8, the only Nokia phone that runs with Symbian^3 so far, has 512 MB RAM. Too bad, because to go to Symbian^3 using X6, you have to change RAM too, and it'll cost you lots of money.
RAM Upgrading + OS Upgrading + Brand new X6 costs are greater than buying a Nokia N8.
And Android OS, the 2.2 version is miles better and advanced that Symbian^3, Nokia is always behind of the competition but always give the best and reliable phone.
