Tip & How-To about Facebook Social Network

How to become Admin of a Facebook Group and how not to lose it !

If you started a Group then lost the Admin status because you were temporarily disabled then you can rejoin the group but will have to wait until the link becomes available again it may take some time

http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=826#!/help/?faq=12609

The Prevention is to get a Family Member to join and make them an Admin at the same time then they can re-add you on a new account of the account that was disabled.

plzzzzz anybody help me i creat a grup and aftr few days my frndzz remove all admin to group there's no option to "become admin" in the page that I want to become an admin for. What do we do no admins on my group either where is the become admin button some people say on the right, where i cannot see anything, i am the creator of a group and i cannot do anything with it, as it created with no admins as soon as I made it. Where do i find admin button please

ok, when you made the group, the creator should have automatically become the admin. What you need to do is go to the group page. Go to the panel on the left and click on edit group settings. then at the top you should see a tab named members. Click on that and it should show you all the people in the group. Click the admin tab on that to find out who is the admin or just click to the right of the name of who you want to be admin on the make admin button.

it keeps resetting the security zone

You might not be logged in with Administrator user id. To make sure you are part of admin group. Go to Start->Run-> type "control userpasswords2" and hit enter. Check you user name and on the right side check your group it should be administrators.

If not login with administrator user id and password and add your user to administrators group.

Follow the link to add user to admin group

Screensaver on my Dell Inspiron 6000 does not work

Several things can interfere with the operation of a screen saver. Usually it is a process of elimintaion as to what is preventing it from working.
Start, RUN, MSCONFIG <enter> will open the system configuration utility. Disable the startup group, reboot, see if issue still occurs.
If screen saver then works, you can go back and add items to the startup group until you ID the item causing the issue.
If disabling startup has no effect, go to the services tab of MSCONFIG, check HIDE ALL Microsoft services, then disable the remaining ones and follow the same process

Can't get an IP address over time.

Ok I have guessed a couple of things. Here goes.
the version of software 12.4 (3g) is very old
I think that you have DHCP configured on the AP

the cisco site lists loads of issues regarding DHCP and memory leaks in numerous guises with not only your IOS version but newer versions too.

the reason why I have homed in on this is that you say that the unit works for about a week then essentially stops until you reboot the AP. (I guess that you do this by power cycling not by issuing the reload command) in the short term you have fixed the problem.

I would suggest that you upgrade the IOS to something newer. the current version listed is 12.4(22)T if it's of any help.

lastly as you know when the system actually goes wrong. You are able to issue the reload command with additional settings so it could reload @ X date and time if NTP is configured or you can specify a time duration in minutes if preferred.

I can't think of anything else I afraid.
