Oasis washer dreaded F-51 error

Motor RPS Failure--F then 51 flashes when there is a motor rotor position sensor(RPS) senses rotation after stop command.F-51 ERROR CODE IS DEALING WITH THE SPIN CYCLE. THE CONTROL DOES NOT DETECT IT SPINNING.THE RPS SENSOR ON THE BOTTOM OF THE UNIT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OFF AND PUT BACK ON ABOUT 10 TIMES. SOUNDS WEIRD BUT USUALLY FIXES IT.But if that does not help then it needs to be replaced. You can get required parts from www.repairclinic.com

Motor RPS Failure (rotor position sensor)
F then 51 flashes when there is a motor rotor position sensor failure.
The overheating of the motor sensor is caused by use of excessive detergent. This washer can detect suds and try to correct. Upon doing so it causes the motor to work more and overheat which causes the RPS to fail.

The F and 51 code relates to the motor rotor.

"F then 51 flashes when there is a motor rotor position sensor (RPS) failure. See TEST #3."

The "test #3 is a bit complicated but can be completed if you are reasonably comfortable with test equipment.

F-51 points to a "motor rotor position sensor (RPS) failure or lower harness problem.
