Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

Computer froze when shutting down? NTLDR MISSING? READ IF THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED INCASE!!!!!

This is more of a disappointment for most people than a tip.
As rare as it is some people's computer freezes while shutting down and when they pull the plug, it doesn't boot up again.  This is a very serious case because it isn't easily fixable.  In fact I still haven't found a way on fixing it without a windows disk but basically what has happened is while windows was busy with files in the process of shutting down, it lost those files and cannot retrieve them.

Here are some links that I found that are helpful.

same thing happens to me - most of the time it will just randomly freeze; occasionally i get an unresponsive black screen. this 24' aluminum imac usually has startup problems also - sometimes it will "gong" and nothing else; sometimes the apple logo will come up and then nothing else; sometimes it will load the logo and then spin for a few seconds and then freeze - the only option is to manually shut down. there is no rhyme or reason to it
