Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

These are the things you will need for this task.............
1 x small philips screw driver,
1 x flat blade screw driver or you can use your finger nails
Clear a flat table or work space,to do the job on.
About 10 min to spare time to complete the job,

FIRST remove AC power pack & battery.
Then turn the laptop upside down & remove x 3 small M2.5x4 screws
Now turn the laptop upright, with your LCD uppermost.
Now use your finger nails or a flat blade screw driver,
To lift and separate the edges of your POWER ON button cover from the base,(I prefer nails because they leave NO scratch marks behind),
Working all the way around from the hinges to the sides eventually ending up by your keyboard,

Lift and remove the cover from that area now exposing the underside of the POWER button and the Speakers will be visible now too.

Now place your finger nails underneath keyboard edge,
Around the center of the keyboard where the power area is,
Gently lift and flex the keyboard so it bows in the middle ,
Now side keyboard one way to the side, left or right,
releasing the little finger that holds the keyboard onto the base of the laptop,
Slide the keyboard in the opposite direction to now free the keyboard,
Lie the keyboard flat on its keys so you can unplug the ribbon now.
You have now successfully removed your keyboard.Congradulations.

Hope this helps,I was going to take photos but i dont think its needed.

Cheers and thanks for reading,Hope this helps everyone,MISTERDJ

I need to get the brake disc off the front driver tire to replace the u- joint. I have the caliber off and cannot figure how to remove the disc.

In the wheel hub where disc are present, there are small philips screws, you have to remove those too. Also sometimes these things are jammed and need some hammering.

the rear window wiper blade holder is rusted how do I remove it for replacement?

Three things you can replace depend on your budet
1) you can replace whole wiper blabe assembly by lift up the cover at the bottom end of the bale assembly and un-screw the nut and raplace whole assembly with arm , wiper insert etc ... with the new one This way cost you more.
2) on hte middle of the whole wiper blade assy has the flexible section, you can un-screw 2 small philipe pan head screw with screw driver and disconnect the top section with the wiper blade insert (rubber)
3) slide wiper blade insert out of the holder, becareful with 2 small steel blade will hole your rubber insert inside the wiper frame. Slide new rubber insert in the frame .

how to raise bars on 05 road king classic

Remove headlamp trim ring with one philips head screw on the bottom. Remove headlamp by removing the several philips head screws around the outside. Remove the top trim by removing the 5/16 nut on the top inside the nachelle. Remove the riser cover by removing the three philips head screw, two are under the fork lock cover with can be removed by popping it off with a small screw driver. Once the cover is off you can now losen the riser caps with a 1/4" allen and position at desired hieght. Retighten and reassemble the rest in reverse order being very careful and double checking your work. Good luck!

ignition switch

1. Disconnect battery.
2. Remove airbag, two hex/torx/or philips head screws in the back of the bag holding it in.
3. Remove wheel. 24mm socket required for this. This is expose the clock spring area. Inspect that.
4. Remove top steering column cover. Two philips screws holding in under the bottom cover. Top cover comes off. The wiring for the horn is in there as well.
5. Remove instrument cluster. Two screws holding that in. Have a flat head handy as well to aid in unplugging the connectors for the cluster.
6. You will see the ignition switch to your right and the harness. Put key in ignition, remove harness, just unplugs. How there will be two small screws holding in the switch. Often, if the switch has never been replaced, they will be covered by a red paint. Take a small philips screw driver and loosen the two screws, no need to remove em. Ignition switch should just slide out.
7. Have new switch handy. No more than $40 even from dealer. Slide switch in. Its good to remember the way the old one came out. Screw down switch, plug in harness.
8. Install the cluster, column cover, and wheel in reverse order from above.
