How to use a Presto Tater Twister

To use a Presto Tater Twister, first take your choice of cutting disks and snap it into the the bottom of the white cylinder. Next, push the potato onto the rotating cross-shaped platform in the bottom of the clear container, and place the clear container onto the motor. Last, turn on the motor, and gently push the white cylinder containing the blade down into the clear cylinder. Your curly-cut potato will emerge into the white container, ready for your deep fryer!

take the cage off prestoheatdish

Once you've unplugged the unit do this. Read this whole answer before you start.
Push down hard with a thin flat screwdriver in between the cage and the dish and flip it out. Some disk rim deformation may occur but you can bang it back later. Be careful and it will be minimal. For tough cases you may need two screwdrivers a short distance apart. Once it starts coming it should pop out quickly. There is a pin at the bottom so start at the top. This is basically the same technique as removing tires from a bicycle rim if you've ever done that.
When replacing the cage, after cleaning, put the bottom pin in at the bottom first and work your way up from the bottom on each sides with your thumbs. Press hard to snap it in. At the top a pair of pliers may be required.
There, not too hard was it?

WANT T REMOVE BASE OF BROKEN BULB STILL IN SOCKET RANGE

Unplug the oven. Take a potato and cut it in half. Jam it into the socket as far as you can. Now unscrew the broken socket by turning it counter-clockwise. The potato will form to the inside of the socket and twist it out.
