Code for CL

On many washers, CL is child lock. This feature locks the most of the front panel buttons; it's useful when you clean the control panel. It also keeps small children from starting the washer with a pet (or sibling) in the unit.

Look on the control panel for a small lock icon or the words Child Lock. This will be in a much smaller font than most of the icons/text on the washer. You need to press and hold the appropriate button or pair of buttons to disable the lock. If a pair of buttons are used, the lock icon will be in the middle of a line between the buttons.

Please add a comment with the specific make/model of your washer if you would like more information about cancelling the lock. On my washer, the CL will remain on even if you unplug the washer for several minutes.

How to unlock the child lock on the AEG L98690FL washing machine. Thanks

5.18 Child lock function
This function prevents children operating the control panel.

• To activate this function, touch button 12 and button 11 at the same
time until the display shows the symbol .
• To deactivate this function, touch button 12 and button 11 at the
same time until the symbol goes off.

You can activate the function:
• Before you touch the button 6 : the appliance cannot start.
• After you touch the button 6 , all the buttons and the programme
knob are deactivated.

controls are "locked" - how do I unlock them?

The following link explains how to correct a control panel lock issue on a Whirlpool2.gif Duet:

The control panel lock is actually a designed safety feature that allows you to lock the control panel to keep small children from manipulating the controls. It can be inadvertently set by leaning against the control panel buttons, or following a power outage.

If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
