Tip & How To about Mozilla Firefox
Remove Microsoft NET.Framework Assistant v1.0 plugin on Firefox
This is installed by Microsoft and is no longer supported but is difficult to remove as its usually GREYED OUT on the add-ons menu ( Microsoft did this on purpose ) this is normal and there is a Microsoft Patch first install the NET Framework patch HERE and see if it goes black

This should allow you to remove it as normal notice the screendump below is still greyed out.

You may also see it as v0.0.0.0 this if you agree to the Automatic update to NET. Framework SP1 for the NET. Framework Assistant KB63707 and you have accidentally removed the associated reg key

The only options that you now have are Enable OR Disable not REMOVE
If this doesn't work you need to remove it manually from the registry this is a tall order so I created this do do it for you in on step download this ZIP from my Public SKY DRIVE it also contains a BUP of the folder that it deletes, sorry not the registry key it removes....
ALSO YOU MAY NEED TO DO THIS IF THEY EXIST
Type in about:config in the address bar in Firefox, accept the warning here be dragons....
REMOVE THIS ----> microsoft.CLR.clickonce.autolaunch.
RESET THIS ----->general.useragent.extra.microsoftdotnet
You might find that the latest version updated April 2010 may also be installed this XPI also requires version 3.5 SP1 of the .NET Framework to be installed and is the only official extension published by Microsoft to support ClickOnce. If you do need this download link HERE

Most people don't want this either but at least it can be installed unlike the earlier version v1.0 that installs without you wanting it I would DISABLE it this will prevent it being silently installed again by and other Microsoft NET Framework Bundles
