Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet
The most common issue people have with these new OS systems,(windows 7/vista) is that they have a new form of security called 'administrator privileges'. Basically, your average user doesn't know about this, because most installation CD's or DVD's just auto-run when you insert them, and unfortunately, the computer most of the time does not prompt you to do anything special at all, and the software just installs. But underneath that installation, certain 'privileges' have been allocated to that installation, so here's the tip; Whenever installing new hardware or software, be sure to stop the auto-run feature, or close it down if it starts by itself, right click the disc or file where you are installing from, and select 'run as administrator'. If you are not the administrator, or do not have access to that privilege, then I suggest getting that access, or get the person who has it to give it to you! If you are installing from disc, go to Start>Computer and the disc should show there. Right click on it, select 'open' or 'explore', find the installation file (usually a .exe file) and go through the procedure above. Enjoy!
