Tip & How-To about Office Equipment & Supplies

Tired of numerous useless ads printing on the paper when you want to take out some important information...

Do not worry here is a simple option that many of have not explored..... You can save yourself from wasting paper

& ink on the useless ads by just selecting a simple option in the Internet Explorer....

For disabling the Print background colors option just open your Internet Explorer.

Now Click on the TOOLS,

Go to Internet options

Click Advanced and scroll down to find PRINTING option

Now just tick against the PRINT BACKGROUND IMAGES & COLORS, then click on Apply then OK

Thats it....

Remember.... always check the preview of the page you are going to print to get clear idea as to what you are

going to get in the printout, rather than wasting ink and paper.....
Good Luck!!

I'm trying to print double-sided on photo paper but the only double-sided paper option is double-sided plain paper and the quality is not good on this setting. How can I select double-sided photo paper?

I have NEVER seen "double-sided photo paper"; photo paper is specially coated to accept ink on ONE SIDE ONLY, so what you want to do is not possible. You can print photos on both sides of PLAIN paper, but you probably won't like the results.

The simple fact is that double-sided photo paper simply doesn't exist, unless it is NEW in the market and hasn't reached my neighborhood yet. You can't print on BOTH sides of photo paper because the paper is ONLY designed to take ink on ONE side.

Best of luck to you; hope this information helps you.

how to set my printer to print black ink only

Option 1 - when printing, go to printer settings and select 'Plain Paper' as the Media Type. If any other paper type is selected, color ink will be used to create black. The pigment black ink will only be used when printing on plain paper. Check the box for 'Grayscale Printing'. If either 'Borderless Printing' or 'Duplex Printing' are enabled from the Page Setup tab, grayscale will be created using a combination of the color (dye) inks to prevent smearing.
I tried this once myself, but the result seemed to be useless for printing photographs.

Option 2 - Using quadtone inks may be the solution. http://www.completedigitalphotography.com/?p=32
