How To Do A eRecovery Reinstall to ACER Factory Defaults.

.Heres 2 Very Useful methods

1-ACERs Original (x4) Recovery Disk/s
or
2-ACERs preloaded eRecovery ,

================================================
DISK RECOVERY CD (x4)
================================================
Put in System CD
F1 to Access BIOS
Set Boot order to CD in BIOS
EXIT and SAVE ,CONFIRM ,YES.
On Restart RECOVERY Mode will commence.
Follow Prompts when asked and in this order,
RCD1,RCD2,RCD3
Last Disk will be System CD to close the program and save your new settings.

This completed will give you a fresh install of ACER's Preload.
When restarts let the System install everything before you try to use it.

The system will shut down and restart a couple of times so no rushing will fix your problems with a Factory Default Install.

It should take 45min to reinstall

============================================

ACER eRecovery Preloaded onto your machine
============================================
Open eRcovery thru ACER Empowering Technology
Select RESTORE
Choose Factory Default,
This process is about the same time frame (45Min),
as the 4 disk method I have listed in the discription above.
===============================================
These will not work if you have a password locked on the bios or the hard drive so dont lose your passwords,
remember to kept them safe always.

Hope this clears any miss understanding of how to use eRecovery.

The Acer Aspire One Netbook has a hidden partition on its hard disk drive which allows recovery of
1. operating system to original factory image (with no recovery disk required)

If the netbook came with pre-installed Windows XP, use Acer eRecovery Management by
1. pressing start button at bottom left corner of Taskbar
2. hover cursor over All Programs then Acer Empowering Technology
3. then click on Acer eRecovery Management and follow subsequent recovery instructions
Alternatively, on powering up, press Alt and F10 together while Acer logo is showing.
If this doesn't work, there is the possibility that the D2D recovery is not enabled for startup.
To enable D2D recovery,

2. cursor over to the Main tab
3. cursor down to D2D and enable it.
4. save changes when exiting - system will reboot

how do I do a full recovery with the disc

Turn your computer on.

Insert the Disk and choose to enter BIOS, should be F2 but watch the screen to see the right function key.

Change the boot device order to: CD-ROM, HDD in that order.

Save changes and restart the computer.

The Recovery Disk would boot up and a wizard will guide you through the recovery process.

Follow the instructions to recover your computer.
