no sound when on

So assuming that you have already tried different headphones or speakers and that you have also checked that the socket is free of lint etc., do this:
  1. Goto Settings>VolumeLimit and turn it all the way up
  2. Goto Settings>EQ and turn it off
  3. Goto Settings>SoundCheck and turn it off
If it still doesn't produce any sound then it is a connection problem with the headphones. I do repairs for this. Contact me

All the best

no sound

Have you checked the sound settings? If so, then i'm going to lean towards a bad driver download, corrupt driver, or the wrong driver. Rarely the speakers will go out or the connectors will work loose, but this is a possibility also.
