Tip & How-To about Washing Machines

Hold onto that Screw

How often do you try to fit a screw in a difficult area only to find it falls off the end of your screwdriver....I find a simple way round this is to wrap some insulation tape around both the screw and the driver .This will hold firm the screw allowing you to fit even upside down..When the jobs complete simply remove the tape from the screwdriver...

I just bought a brand new Juki DDL 8100 single needle. I am not able to loosen the screws for the foot and the feeddog plate.I tried narrow, wide, long and short screwdrivers, I also tried to oil the area in case it is rusty, still stuck. Please help!

long screwdrivers only please. u need to grind the tip of driver to fit screw head perfectly. stand over machine with all your weight on end of driver. don't use oil u need a penetrating oil . wd-40 will work. let it sit for a few hours the wipe clean. u can try raping the parts with a light hammer too.

Plumbing issues for under the counter frigidaire mini dishwasher

Your right the one with the rounded end and nut is the intake. It is supposed to be attatched to your faucet. Adapters may be needed. The other is the drain hose, make sure it is attatched firmly, you can't just throw it in sink or BIG mess will follow!

security screw - preventing disassembly - don't recognise type of

You'll need a straight bladed screwdriver with a small area removed in the middle of it. Harbor freight MIGHT have one but if not, you can just file the center area of a, old screwdriver to fit.

Bought new AH-D2000 Denon headphones. Only used a week. One earphone came detached from the headset. Looked carefully, and discovered the screw came out. Have washer and screw, but the area to put the screw back in is too small for a screwdriver to get in -- would need an angled screwdriver. So I need to know if the earcup comes off the bracked to I can put it back together and tighten it.

This is an ongoing problem with Denons, if only your screw fell out like mine, you have to do the following to screw it back in properly.

1. You have to remove the ear cups from the head band part.
2. To do (1), you have to remove the styrofoam ear **** (the soft leather part) by press down on the soft part and rotating it counter-clockwise.
3. With the ear **** removed, you will see a total of 8 screws. 4 are flat and on a higher plane, and other 4 are inside holes. Unscrew the 4 that are bigger and on the higher plane. This will remove the plastic round back from the ear ****.
4. With the big round plastic part removed, you will now have the space to properly screw in the fallen screw.
5. Make sure to use Lock-tite to hold the screw in place so it doesn't fall out again.
