Tip & How-To about Televison & Video

Clean your TV Easy steps...

Have you ever clean your tv?

The best way (in my own experience) is to have the following tools.
1.- a can of compressed air.
2.- a small vacuum cleaner (preferably a hand held).
3.- a mouth cover.
4.- a pair of latex gloves.
5.- a Philips (cross tip) screw driver.

-Put mouth cover and gloves on.
- remove the entire back of the TV.
- on one hand have the compressed air can and in the other the vacuum.
-start spraying the compressed air from a 6 inch distance and at the same time vacuum al the dust that starts flying around from the same distance.

have a Hoover windtunnel vacuum and it keeps on overheating and shutting off. have checked all filters and they seem fine

Let's just hope, OK ?
1) Small possibility the vacuum is plugged up.
Take it all apart and clean every part, perhaps that will help.
Compressed air is really helpful.
2) Worse luck.
The bearings of the motor are failing, it is just about "toasted", and it is time to find a new one, as the bearings are neither lubricate-able or replaceable.
God bless your efforts.

No suction for upholstery hose

http://www.hoover.com/pdfs/manuals/F5914900.pdf try priming your hose

Before using tool
It may be necessary to remove air from
the system (“prime the pump”) so the
clean solution will flow to the tool. Follow
these steps:
1. Attach tool to hose and turn the carpet
cleaner ON.
2. Put the tool on a hard surface or
against your hand to block off the suction.
3. Wait a few seconds (can take up to
15 seconds). Then squeeze the trigger
and begin cleaning.
Follow the instructions on pages 14 and
15 for the appropriate cleaning task.

Compressed air Vs vacuum cleaner for filters?

don't clean with compressed air, you will contaminate the air you breathe. I just bought a small ShopVac with an 18-foot hose to clean exactly what you're describing
