Homemade laptop Anti-theft program

Nobody would like to have their laptop stolen or any of a kind to be stolen for that matter.
So I thought of a HomeMade Anti-theft Laptop Security Setup where if ever your laptop gets stolen atleast there is a way to trace it and a chance of retrieving it.

Ingredients:

1 laptop
1 Outlook 2003/2007
2 Email Accounts
1 Internet Connection

First, you must have a working email account in your Outlook that can send & receive emails. Then set it up to Auto-Reply for the procedure click here http://dongkikz.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!940C0A5C3485C53D!205.entry.

Second, you must setup Outlook to open in Startup. Just Copy and Paste the Outlook icon in the Startup folder.

Third, you must have a second email address.

Lastly, A Website that can trace an IP address location like www.whatismyipaddress.com
(From here you must also learn how to look for the source IP with the raw source from an email details information )

How it Works !

If your laptop gets stolen. Send an email to it. The theft boots up your laptop soon after and by any chance his connected to the Internet, then your lucky enough. Your Outlook opens up in Startup receives your email and replies. You get the IP address and traces it ! Holy Jupiter your laptop could be in Venus by now.

But then again, this is just a HomeMade one. Something that just came out of the d0ngkikz? mind.
I just believe in the saying that Imagination is better than Wisdom.

"Great inventions always starts from the most simple ideas."

Any comment would be greatly Appreciated. Thanks!

how to reset anti-theft on a 2000 alero

The security, antitheft or lock picture/icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well.

changed the battery in amyt 525i and now the radio does not funtion how it used to

you will have to get the security code for that wireless and insert it before the wireless will operate. When you removed the battery the system thought the radio was being stolen and activated the anti-theft system in the radio.

I dont have the anti-theft code for my radio in a 2000 monte carlo ss

Radio code is specific for each and every car. It is specific like anti theft code. You can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in authorized dealership. Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car.
