Tip & How-To about Garden

How to stiffen up a wire.

This is an old trick a guy showed me. How to stiffen up a wire. It doesn't matter what kind of wire it is, usually they are all twisted and crooked, and you can't get them to do anything. Put one end in a vise, or have somebody hang onto it with a pair of pliers, and put the other end in a drill, Catch it anyway you can in the chuck and let it spin, You will see it straighten right out and stiffen up, making it useful for all kinds of stuff, I braid wires this way for hanging picture frames, or for making jewelry. You can even do wire with insulation on it.

Need a mignon Aa battery for my Pfaff.

Your local guy is right. AA batteries are a type of cell (think size, voltage and shape) . The brand doesn't matter.

i have an old 720r trimmer plus ryobi. need to replace the fuel lines. what size is needed

Im not sure on the size I always pull the old ones off and find the matching size,I will however tell you a good trick for installing new fuel lines on trimmers. Get a fine piece of metal wire about six inches long or so (like mig welding wire). You want to take the end of the new fuel line and with snips cut a 45 degree angle so it kind of comes to a point. Next poke the wire through the end you cut and twist it. Finally use the wire to pull the new line through.
