Columnar cushion - S-type styrofoam packaging material

S-type styrofoam cushion pieces are found in typical packing materials.
To create a columnar (collumn) shape, attach the individual S-shapes into a collumn.
The result is a single piece of cushioning material for placement where you need a continuous cushioning.

Hello,Lilo The styrofoam pack MUST stay in place. When in operation the air tempature is so cold the unit will condensate(create water)if not insluated.Your unit would LEAK all over the place. The blower fan is a PLASTIC composit and should not rust.

I replaced my ink cartridge closed the lid. Displace still says top is open. I found a small plastic piece broken off inside the printer. How do I make it recognize the top is closed?

Try and replicate the shape of the piece that is broken off,
If it is a straight edge a piece of wide transparent tape could do.
Other shapes can be made with the use of epoxy type putty.
this material is available at you plumbers store.it is sold as 2 separate products thatis sift and malleable when separate.
but by combining the pieces, they will gradually get as hard as metal. it is quite inexpensive.
If you use a piece after you have molded then together. Shape the part that is missing on the printer case.

then firmly put it in place after 24 hours. if it hold. it should be as good as teh original piece, for a long time.
You can also use automobile radiator putty. it si made of the same materiels too and work as well.

How did you break that piece anyway??
