western digital 3200aajs hard disk failure is imminent

This warning given from your SMART built into your hard drive. It is to be taken VERY seriously. You need to backup all your important data, Everything in My Documents, Pictures, Music etc. as soon as possible to another drive, either internal or external. This is a warning the drive WILL FAIL SOON. If you plane on cloning everything to another hard drive, do the backup FIRST because cloning is ******* the bad drive and can cause the failure to happen sooner. Good luck. Hope this helps..

Hello. I have a laptop hp, but i found out that the hdd is toshiba mk6465GSX.. Today i was working in my office and it suddenly crashes and the board didn't see it for booting..in fact the hdd is powered but damaged?? Is there a way to repair it?? Or all my data will be lost???

You can try placing it into an external hard drive caddy (your internal plugs into it)
The device will plug in usb 2.0 and recognize as an external drive.

If the drive is unrecognizable, than unfortunately it has physically failed and costs to recovery data are very high.
Always have 2 forms of backup for all data.

i pulled my hard drive out of the computer as i was accidentally formatting it instead of another hard drive, now my computer wont recognise it and i have so many files on it that i cant access. Any idea how I can get these files back? Thanks

I would recommend using a live-bootable operating system to bypass the fact that you no longer have a working Windows installation. Here's how to do it: 1. First make sure all the hard drives you want to recover data from are plugged in correctly inside the computer. You will also need an external hard drive or thumb drive plugged in to backup your data to once you can get to it. 2. On a separate, working computer, download and burn Hiren's BootCD. It is available here. http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/ 2a.If you don't have anything to burn disc images with, I recommend IMGBurn, available at ninite.com (just click on IMGBurn to select it, and then scroll down and click on "Get Installer" at the bottom of the page. 3. Once you have the CD burned, put it in the disc drive of the computer that your internal and external drives are plugged into. 4. Watch for the computer to tell you which key to press for startup options (almost always within the first 2 seconds of starting up your computer). On Dells this key is F12. 5. Once in the boot menu, select the CD/DVD drive. Wait for the Hiren's menu to load, then select "MiniXP." 6. Once MiniXP finishes loading, merely open My Computer and drag and drop the data from your old, internal hard drives to the external drive you plugged in earlier. (Your documents will probably be located in either the C:/Users/YOURNAME folder or the C:/Documents and Settings/YOURNAME folder)
