Why do my Digital camera batteries die so fast?

All digital still cameras suffer if the battery terminals aredirty. Using a Q-tip and 99% pure alcohol, clean the battery terminalsin the camera and on the batteries BEFORE you put them back in.
If you get good results, let me know.
Also, batteries specifically for digital cameras, like Duracell Ultra and Eveready e2 are WORTH the money.

Try cleaning your battery terminals. You can use a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. If you are still having issues then you will need to get another battery as that battery is shot

Hmm... What kind of batteries are you using? Does this happen on the charger power? If so, it definitely needs repair.
If batteries only:
Try using batteries specifically for cameras - they are worth the money.
Try cleaning the battery door with a little 99% pure alcohol and a Q-tip. This can make a BIG difference if it is battery issues.
Rechargeable batteries may not work well. Try cleaning both ends of the batteries with alcohol as above. If the rechargeables are over 3 years old, they may be toast.
