Tip & How-To about Saniflo 013/003/005 Sanibest Toilet with Grinder Series Pump in White Round

My vacuum toilet is not flushing and the bowl is full of water.

As first thing look for blockage, then try to understand if the vacuum pump is working or not.

If the vacuum pump is not working, check the following:

a. Check input power, circuit breaker and fuse.
b. Tighten or reconnect wires at vacuum pump and tank, vacuum generator, or vacuum holding tank.
c. Be sure wires at vacuum switch are connected to “B” terminals.
d. Check vacuum switch. Short across “B” terminals with jumper wire.
e. Replace motor.
f. Empty the holding tank.

If the vacuum pump is working, check the vent plug is not closed or obstructed, and replace the vent filter.

My vacuum is making noise and has no suction through the accessory bar.Checked the hose and inside of machine for blockages and still have no suction. Do you have any ideas of what to do next? Thanks.

Hi Margaret, it's Jack at Dyson.

Although I understand you've already checked your DC41 Animal for blockages, it does sound as if there is an obstruction somewhere inside the hose, wand or changeover valve of your machine. This is quick and easy to check for, and our video guides below will walk you through each step:

I'm confident this will help, but you're welcome to contact the Dyson Customer Helpline directly if you'd like further assistance after giving this a try. If a repair or a replacement part is needed, our experts will be able to confirm whether this is covered under your Dyson warranty.

Check for blockages in all the filters and hoses, from your description it sounds like the pump is trying to go but can't

no suction

I wonder exactly where you've looked for blockages... The fact is that if the vacuum motor is working (you would surely have said if it wasn't) there should be suction. The question is: why isn't it getting to the end of the hose? First thing you can try is to remove the hose from the hole where it enters the top of the bag compartment - check for possible obstruction at that point, then switch on and hold your hand over the hole to check for suction. If there's suction there, then there definitely is an obstruction in the hose. If there's no (or very little) suction at the top of the bag compartment, check the filter at the bottom of the bag compartment (below the bag). I assume you have been using a bag and filter! If all these things pass the test, then you have a serious problem with the vacuum turbine and you'll probably need professional help.
I hope this is useful. If so, please remember to rate my response. If you need more advice, post a reply here and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Good luck!
