Tip & How-To about Washing Machines

The washing machine leaks during both drain and spin cycle?

The most common possibility for this problem is as follows:-- Check the drain pump.if it looks loose then it needs to be refitted.if the drain pump looks bit worn out or cracked then it needs to be replaced.but if the drain pump check out OK.then its the fault of drain hose .Remove the hoses connected to both ends the pump. The hoses are cracked and it needs replacement. But if the pump is clean and clear and hoses are also seen clean then the other part to check is outer tub part, for that you will need to open the washer's main access panel and remove the rubber material hose connecting the pump .the hose is exactly connected to the bottom area of the outer tub. If you notice any blockage/clogging in that area you can remove it with the help of pliers.
If you are not able to remove the clog or if you can see but its seen in very inner area then you need to take the agitator out, after removing the agitator remove the top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. You will require some special tools to do the job in this case.
This will help.Thanks.

It is a common fault that the drain fails to work in most machines in a period of time and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged. Now remove the drain hose clamps and remove the drain pump/valve, clean the drain pump/valve, use back flushing to clear off all dirt. Now test using power to see if this works and can be simulated. When refitting, the hose must be tightened properly. If the pump/valve does not work even with power then it must be replaced. If there is intermittent power to the drain valve/pump then the program controller unit is a suspect.

door seal leaked, after it was replaced pump would not work

It is a common fault that the drain fails to work in most machines in a period of time and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. This has nothing to do with the replacement of the door seal but you need to check the drain pump connections if it was accidentely removed. Finally the washer must be placed with a tilt- use a spirit level- so that all water will drain to the outlet port and thereby there is no residual water remaining.

How can I fix my Kenmore portable washer 100.49722990?

Most common cause for water leak
is around the water level sensor connection, a small hose from the tank bottom rear, to the control panel, if loose or removed it is a small constant leak. if loose snip 1/8 inch off the hose refit and pull a zip tie around it tight

if it were the drain hose or pump, it would usually be a very large leak that increases when the pump is running and floods the laundry
